2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 6)
Andrew (AJ) Poole is a 2023 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends Mclean. Really physical frame, with broad shoulders and excellent muscular development. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.49 seconds. Primary position 1B, with solid athleticism and clean actions with nice lateral mobility for a player with his size. Glove work is smooth and accurate and plays the position with a lot of aggression. Has feel around the bag and looked comfortable in all his reps. RHH with a wide and inline stance using a knee to knee load and ultra aggressive approach. Bat speed is present and there is plenty of juice at contact, really consistent when he works the middle of the field. Gets a little pull conscious and runs out of barrel sometimes but he has a chance to be an impact bat for sure. Compact overall for an athlete his size and the best is still ahead of him. Really good in the classroom.
