Nick McGuire is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Lake St Louis, MO who attends Wentzville Liberty. Lanky young build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.21 runner, is aggressive to the ball in the outfield, tends to sweep his glove at the ball, over the top arm slot with good carry on his throws when he stays on top. Left handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a long stride into contact, rotational upper body swing, works pull side with a line drive to downward swing plane, will keep improving as a hitter with additional strength. Also pitched, side step delivery with some hip turn at gather, arm works well with some effort at release, high 3/4's arm slot but best stuff was when he dropped a bit lower. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight. Good student.
