Angel Morel is a 2018 RHP/ with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Senior. Small build, young frame with lots of room to fill throughout. Only pitched at event, side step into belt high leg lift, leg tuck at balance point, loose arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, stays online and finishes out over front foot well, would like to see more consistent release point out front, max effort at release. Fastball is mostly straight but did flash some sinking action, fastball topped out at 79 mph, creates some plane in lower third, filled up strike zone really locating well to the lower third of the zone, curveball is developing and could be improved by maintaining fastball arm speed, works quickly creating weak contact.
