Cole Stocks is a 2021 OF/RHP, C, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Paradise Valley, AZ who attends Chaparral. Medium frame with a high waist. Athleticism in build and room to continue to add. Ran a 7.70 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Aggressive close with shorter strides to the ball. Fields in front working through the ball and towards the bag. Works from an extended transfer and long strides into release. Gets on top of the ball with medium carry in at 77 miles per hour. Also worked out from first base. Quickness to turns when working off the base. Fields out front and into releases. Has confidence in hands throughout transfers making accurate throws to the bases. Righthanded hitter with a wide stance and toe tap trigger for timing. Works through a long stride out with some linear to the ball. Line drive swing plane with some barrel speed. Works contact to the middle of the field. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short side step delivery into high leg lift. Lands online to the plate utilizing drop and drive actions down the mound. Long and loose arm action in the back into a high three-quarter release. Straight fastball to the zone topping out at 79 miles per hour. Sweeping curveball showing a 10-to-4 shape. Good student as well.
