Zach Morris is a 2007 RHP/OF from Magna Vista High School in Ridgeway, Virginia, with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame. He has a good pitcher's body with projectability. On the mound he throws from an over the top arm slot which produces a good downhill plane to the plate. Morris has solid mechanics with a slow and deliberate delivery. He has good arm speed that helps produce a fastball that topped out at 78 mph. Morris gets good movement on his fastball that helps cause hitters to make inconsistent contact. Morris has projectable velocity with upside on the mound. From the outfield he has solid arm strength and accuracy. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a balanced swing and solid bat speed. Morris gets good leverage at contact producing projectable power. He has two-way potential, and is a very good student as well.
