Jesus Villegas is a 2020 C/OF with a 5-6 170 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Bonita Vista. Compact frame with an athletic build and some strength as well. Ran a 7.06 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a slightly side straddle stance to start. Quick exchanges with a short arm action in the back. Works quickly out of the stance while gaining ground to the bag. Throws stay accurate at 73 MPH while popping a 1.96 during workouts. Righthanded hitter with a narrow and upright stance. Short leg lift trigger for timing. Compact hand path generating barrel speed through the zone on a line drive plane. Works contact to all fields well.
