Alex Holberton is a 2023 2B/3B, SS, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Chatham, NJ who attends Chatham. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball with active footwork, works through the ball, fields the ball out front, works to an over-the-top release point, shows carry on throws when working on top of the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a slightly open stance, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Short stride moving into swing, shows quickness to swing, keeps hands inside and projects with additional extension out front. Gets uphill at times with swing path, looks to lift at point of contact, projects with added strength. Very good student.
