Miguel Melendez is a 2019 2B/SS with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Florida, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Recorded a 6.74 second 60-yard dash time. Small, young frame with present quick twitch muscle throughout. Primary second baseman with solid foot speed and arm strength recorded up to 83 mph across the diamond. Feet work well through the throws and has some balance throughout. Attacks the ball nicely. Switch hitter who graded out as best from the left side. Slightly open stance with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Wide base with a small, controlled stride forward. Short, controlled swing path with fluidity. Balance and barrel skills play nicely. Flat path with very solid bat to ball skills. Good student.
