Zach Powers is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Centreville, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding. Tall and athletic frame, highly projectable with long limbs and room to fill throughout. Ran a 5.33 second 40 yard dash. Only pitched at the event, side step to a high leg lift to begin windup, long arm action up to a 3/4 slot, arm whips and wraps through back side turning over early but he releases out in front, quick arm action, good tempo to delivery. Fastball generates lots of life and he located it well to both sides of the plate, fastball topped out at 85 mph, mixed in a good curveball but he does tend to slow tempo when throwing it, changeup has fade and flashes sink at times, confident mound presence, good overall outing filling up the zone nicely with three pitch mix. Good student. Named to 2018 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
