Dylan Owens is a 2023 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Karns. Tall and physically advanced frame. Ran a 7.69 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield moving to the baseball well, confident glove with hands that play, compact arm action into throws with best throws topping out at 78 mph across, actions play best at a corner position. Secondary right-handed pitcher, sets up on the first base side of the rubber with a belt high leg lift windup, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, releases out in front with good extension, three pitch mix that includes a straight fastball, 11-5 curveball with some depth, deceptive changeup. Right-hand hitter, sets up at the plate with a spread out stance, leg lift triggers into contact, compact swing with rotational actions, loads hands deep, upper half dominant swing, will fire hips at times and will make swing path longer, flashes a lift to his path, refinement to mechanics will improve consistency.
