David Laman is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-8 126 lb. frame from Bergenfield, NJ who attends Bergenfield. Small and young frame with more room to continue to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.98 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch on the mound, separates hands in a high position with a compact arm action at take back, uses a high front lever to balance the throwing arm coming forward into release, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, online delivery, creates an angle to the plate, drop and drive actions. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, mixed in a curveball with short depth and developing spin. Secondary first baseman, low effort actions while bouncing quickly off of the first base bag, fields the baseball deep into his body, compact arm action into throws with developing arm strength. Also took reps in the outfield, creates uphill carry to throws, similar arm action and strength as at first base and on the mound. Left-handed hitter, sets up with a high hand set, compact swing with an inside hand path, hands move downward to the baseball, young strength off of the barrel. Good student.
