Shawn Franco is a 2024 1B/RHP/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Medium build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from an even start with a short leg lift trigger, simple load and timer that he repeats well, has some bat speed with a middle of the field line drive approach, projects as a hitter with his strength and swing mechanics. Primary first baseman on defense, has good footwork and stays balanced well on his turns, arm strength still developing. 8.56 runner in the sixty. Took a turn on the mound, high 3/4's arm slot with long extended arm action, upper body tall and fall delivery. Fastball topped out at 70 mph. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
