Garrett Warner is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Encinitas, CA who attends La Costa Canyon. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium frame. Has long arm action, working from a three-quarters slot. High leg lift to balance and gets good extension staying on line to the plate. Mixing speeds with a high-60s fastball, up to 70 miles per hour, and a curveball with 1-to-7 break that flashes some depth. Secondary first baseman that flashes some athletic actions. Short and quick movements, flashing some good footwork and feel for the position. Upright and slightly open stance at the plate. Simple leg lift trigger with some linear shift into contact and a line drive barrel plane. Primarily looks to lift the baseball to the middle of the field. Excellent student.
