Troy Spencer is a 2019 1B/3B/OF with a 5-10 225 lb. frame from Carson, CA who attends Junipero Serra HS. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary first baseman with smooth paced footwork while centering and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and flashed developing range to each side. Clean, loose exchanges and created some carry across the infield at 72 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and hanging front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane. Flashed some bat speed when on time with solid strength when squared. Showed developing feel for the barrel throughout the zone with good carry to each gap.
