Cole Koonce is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Eureka, MO who attends Eureka. Strong athletic build. Long multi-part arm action in back, has energy down the mound but holds together his mechanics well, works quickly and attacks hitters aggressively. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight, maintained velocity well and consistently worked his fastball to the bottom of the strike zone, has an idea of working to corners with intent. Showed a nice change up with fading action. Curveball flashed good spin and depth when he got on top at release but he tends to lower his release point on this pitch and get under it. Strike thrower, especially with his fastball, strong overall outing. Very good student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List.
