John Navarro is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends Mid Pacific Institute. Ran a 7.32 second sixty-yard dash. Medium frame and build. Shows some agility and quickness to feet in the outfield, comes from an over the top slot, getting on top of the ball well with some present arm strength at 84 miles per hour. Has an upright and slightly open stance at the plate with a simple front side trigger and rotational lower half. Present bat speed with good jump off the barrel. Has a middle of the field to pull side approach, flashing some good power and carry to the pull side. Developing use of the lower half that will allow for more power in the future. Secondary right-handed pitcher. Works quick through the motion, with a straight up leg lift that closes slightly at the top. Has low hands into separation with good linear direction down the mound. Shows some command of a fastball at 81-to-83 miles per hour, and mixes well with a 10-to-4 breaking ball with good lateral shape. Breaking ball is a swing and miss pitch at 72 miles per hour, and could make big strides with a third pitch in the arsenal. Good student.
