Mark Steward is a 2020 C/3B/MIF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Meridian, ID who attends Meridian HS. Skinny and athletic frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.50 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up in a higher side saddle position behind the plate, works through the baseball receiving it out in front with a clean glove and transfer, takes his arm back to a compact arm action into his throws, playable footwork carrying his weight to his target, 1.98 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a narrow and open stance at the plate, utilizes a leg kick trigger to begins his stroke, mostly compact swing projectable bat speed with added strength, looks to pull with some lift in the swing, the ball comes off of his barrel well when squared. Outstanding student.
