Alden Brown is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Kennewick, WA who attends Kamiakin HS. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary catcher with a slightly taller, side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with smooth paced footwork. Quick glove to hand exchanges and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced softer carry to the bag with developing accuracy. Right handed hitter with an open stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Barrel came through on a line drive plane while utilizing a mid field to pull side approach. Flashed some jump off the barrel to the pull side gap due to present strength. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Good student.
