Ashley Poitier is a 2019 OF with a 5-10 159 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Saint Georges HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, deliberate actions moving towards the ball, reads hops well while showing smooth fielding actions, full arm action through the back with lower slot at release, can continue to incorporate lower half into release and arm strength will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, showed best from the right side; begins with a narrow stance and a high hand set in the box. Upper body dominant swing, stays on the ball well with a shorter path and nice bat speed, occasionally gets to front side early. Long swing from the left side with developing bat speed, utilizes a contact oriented approach. Good student.
