Demian Gonzalez is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends John A. Ferguson HS. Small frame with a slender build and time to fill out. Ran a 7.01 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Short steps when closing to the ball. Fields the ball with a deep funnel and at feet. Shows some developing arm strength with mostly accurate throws and above average carry to the bag. Throws topped out at 83 miles per hour. Switch hitter. Spread and even stance from the right side. Generates some jump off the barrel when on time. Utilizes a big rock back load with some linear transfer to contact. Better swings came from the right side. More open stance from the left side. Soft contact to middle of the field and pull side. Both handed pitcher. Max effort mechanics from the right side. Sat in the upper 70's and topping out at 78 miles per hour. Softer curveball with some occasion depth. Throws more of a slider from the left side. Mechanics are smoother and more developed from the left side. Good student as well.
