Nathan Shane is a 2021 RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Plant City, FL who attends Lakeland Christian. Long and slender projectable pitcher's build. Big leg lift delivery with a hip turn, full arm swing in back leading to a 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in back, solid overall mechanics. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, locates his fastball well down in the zone and can move it side to side with intent, more velocity in his arm as he fills out and gets stronger. 11/5 curveball can get loose at times when he slows his hand but he has nice feel for the pitch and throws it consistently for strikes. Developing change up with some fading action. Strike thrower with a good chance to keep improving with physical maturity. Good student. Named to the Sunshine East Top Prospect List.
