Caden Stoffer is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-4 166 lb. frame from Fairfax, IA who attends Prairie. Right-handed pitcher with a long and athletic build. Starts from the windup with a small side step into a belt high leg lift, staying slightly flexed at gather and going to drop and drive actions down the mound. Maintains good linear direction at foot strike, landing on line with the plate and maintaining direction through good extension over the front side. Has good arm speed from a three-quarter slot, and pitches with good tempo and command of the strike zone. Creates good downhill plane to the fastball up to 88 miles per hour, and mixes speeds well with a curveball that has 11-5 shape and sharp break at 71 miles per hour. Really pounds the corners with a good three-pitch mix that also features a fading changeup at 79 miles per hour. Verbal commitment to Iowa.
