Luis Ravelo is a 2022 SS with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, NC who attends Cenapec. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame; additional room to grow and develop physically moving forward. Primary shortstop, advanced actions in the infield with quick footwork to and through the ball, soft hands out front and plays well at the ball, repeats and shows control of body, works on top of the ball and shows solid arm strength and carry across the diamond, fluid. Listed as a righthanded hitter, took reps from both sides of the plate this look. Even base from the right side with a high hand set, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Shows nice barrel skills through the zone, creates some whip and shows a full path through the zone, can implement additional shift through lower half. Similar stance from the left side, shows bat speed and gets the barrel out front at point of contact, has strength off the barrel when squared when working the middle of the field. Excellent student. Named to 14u National Top Prospect List.
