Remington Lockwood is a 2019 C/3B, OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Cross Plains, WI who attends Middleton. Medium frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Primary catcher with a slightly taller, side set stance while receiving. Gains some ground while working out of crouched with a longer front side stride. Developing fluidity while working through exchange. Released from a compact arm slot producing accurate carry to the bag. Topped at 76 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.14. Also worked out front the outfield showing clean footwork while closing to the baseball. Smooth glove actions while working through pickup and generated good momentum to the bag. Compact arm circle and released from a three-quarters slot topping at 82 miles per hour. Switch hitter with an upright, slightly open stance from each side of the plate. Simple, direct hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane. Consistently squared up contact from each side of the plate while employing a mid field approach. Flashed solid bat speed from the right side of the plate with the present strength to drive the ball through the gaps. Very good student as well.
