Stephen Howard is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Jacksonville, NC who attends Jacksonville. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.53 seconds. Hits from balanced stance, gets into back hip in load and does a solid job of driving out in stride, inside-out hand path with middle-field approach, comfortable working the opposite way, good contact skills, used the whole field. Worked out behind the plate, good set with flexibility in hips, stays low and moves well laterally, receives well, extended transfer, gets into good throwing position, clocked up to 67 mph on throws with best pop time of 2.21 seconds. Very good student.
