Joshua Conde is a 2019 2B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Mahopac, NY who attends Mahopac High School. Medium, square shouldered build with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 5.70 40-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball out front and shows soft hands, utilizes an extra step through release, long strides going up the middle, works into a higher funnel, overall footwork will continue to refine, shows ability to drop slot on throws, arm strength will keep developing with added strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with weight loaded onto back side and a medium hand set in the box. Gliding shift with front side to transfer weight, implements a contact oriented approach at the plate. Short swing path through the zone and keeps hands inside the baseball, occasionally gets downward with angle through zone, worked mostly linear and showed best contact back up the middle.
