Michael Porter Jr is a 2019 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Clarkston, MI who attends Notre Dame Prep. XL frame with very good strength throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.00 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher; long loose arm stroke through the back with higher takeaway, gets to three quarters slot release, will land closed off and create slight crossfire, manages to create angle to the plate at times. Fastball worked 70-74 mph with occasional arm side life; did a good job consistently throwing strikes with fastball. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and gradual depth. Sets up to hit from even stance with high hand set, small stride trigger, middle approach, went to all fields and showed some power to the pull field when he got the barrel out. Worked out in the infield; deep funnel near feet, fielded cleanly, showed short footwork with good accuracy on throws, clocked up to 66 mph. Good student.
