Jackson Forbes is a 2019 2B/SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Vacaville, CA who attends Vanden HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.82 sixty-yard dash. Primary second baseman with compact footwork while working to the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly and flashed good range to each side. Baseball comes out of hand clean and showed the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Inside path to contact and utilized a simple line drive barrel plane through extension. Stays balanced throughout swing with the ability to control to barrel throughout all parts of the zone. Primarily looked to work the ball up the middle and to the opposite field gap. Good student as well.
