Peyton Jones is a 2019 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from South Jordan, UT who attends Bingham HS. Very nice athletic pitcher's build, lots of physical projection. Leg lift delivery with a bit of cross body effect at release, repeats his mechanics well and hitters didn't see the ball well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, maintained his velocity very well, works 4-seam/2-seam with lots of late life on his fastball, moved the ball in and out with maturity and stayed low in the strike zone. Curveball showed nice sharpness, especially at the higher velocities. Change up had big running action at times and is a very solid third pitch. Impressive outing with 10 strikeouts in 4 innings. 7.03 runner, very athletic in the outfield with strong fundamentals and very good raw arm strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an upright narrow stance with a short downward swing, more there with hitting instruction given his athleticism. Good student.
