Jimmy Deangelo is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Spring Valley, IL who attends Hall HS. Large frame with good strength and overall physicality. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.23 seconds. Sets up to hit from slightly open stance with leg lift trigger, closes off in trigger, flat line drive swing plane, shows good extension through the zone. Approach is back through the middle but will pull the ball, showed ability to find barrel on the ground consistently. Worked out at 1st base, shows clean footwork around the bag and makes pivot cleanly; throws clocking up to 74 mph across. Also pitched; throws from three quarters arm slot with some sling to arm stroke, lands online with plant foot, fastball worked 75-79 mph with solid ability to throw strikes. Mixed in curveball that he also landed for strikes at times. Excellent student.
