Gabe Garner is a 2019 RHP/C/OF with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Germantown HS. Recorded a 7.39 second 60-yard dash time. Tall and physically projectable frame with a high waist and long limbs. Primary righthanded pitcher with a compact and whippy arm action. Quick rocker step into a leg lift above the belt. Good arm speed and stays tall on the backside. Slider with 10/4 shape and flashes two-plane depth to it. Pounded the strike zone and gets on top of the ball well. Fastball up to 86 mph and showed good life to the arm side. Maintains arm speed well on the breaking ball. Gets to either side of the plate easily and can throw the slider for strikes. Deception to the delivery and projects very well on the mound. Secondary catcher with deliberate actions and arm strength registered up to 75 mph. Secondary outfielder with throws that have carry. Accurate throws and follows through on throws well. Righthanded hitter with a spread open stance. Wide base with a lower hand set and an even swing plane. Swings hard with intent and has a gap-to-gap approach. Good student.
