Hunter Stone is a 2022 C/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Wakefield. Large frame with a sturdy lower half and broad shoulders. Ran a 6.84 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance as he proved to be flexible in the lower half. Reaches at times to receive the baseball. Works into a quick transfer on throw downs and gains ground. Released with intent as the arm strength is present. Accurate around the bag as he recorded a pop time of 1.91 seconds during drills. Projects behind the dish going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread and slightly open with the front side. Toe-tap to stride as he works into a longer swing path. Looks to lift the baseball and proved he could create leverage. Power to the middle of the field present. Drove it over the fence to the pull-side during batting practice. Projects as a power type bat. Great Student. Named to National Uncommitted Top Prospect List.
