Trevor Barbessi is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Oakton, VA who attends Flint Hill HS. Trevor is athletically built HS senior who shows a sound fundamental base, with obvious twitch and quickness in his game. He is also a solid student in the classroom. He ran a 7.74 60 yard dash. A primary LHP, Trevor works from the stretch only. he shows a higher set and a mid-leg lift to start his operation. he works down the hill well and his high 3/4 slot enables him to show a smooth and repeatable mechanics. He has noticeable arm quickness and obvious life to his 78-81 mph fastball. His 68 breaking ball has 1/7 tight spinning action and has some quick depth at the plate. Due to his sound mechanics and smooth arm action, coupled with his ability to tunnel his pitches consistently, Trevor certainly appears to have the make-up to project to the next competitive level. In the outfield, Trevor shows consistent actions that play at a plus average ability. His timing to field is sound and routine. He reads the ball well off the bat and his glove plays. His transition to throw is commendable and his 77 mph tosses are firm and consistent with sure accuracy to the bag. At the plate, Trevor shows a balanced set up at the ready. he loads and transfer well wit a slight lift in his path. He shows a decent feel for the barrel and some emerging power on contact.
