Peyton Benesh is a 2020 SS/ with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Bowie HS. Medium, lean frame with present athleticism and indicators of high level physical projection. Primary shortstop with clean and smooth hands with arm strength up to 81 mph across. Footwork was solid and works through the ball well on throws. Moved well to both sides with the ability to make all of the plays. Righthanded hitter with a spread, open stance. Loose path to contact with some hand quickness present. The swing is naturally leveraged and he flashed good carry to the pull side gap. Fluidity to the swing path with some natural loft and the ability to impact the ball with strength through the point of contact. Some barrel feel present and showed a feel for connecting with the barrel head and driving the ball to all fields. Present strength shows in the swing. Excellent student.
