Ryan Armentrout is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends San Marcos HS. Tall frame with a lean build and can add more in the future. Ran a 7.94 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a long arm action releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot. Good feel on the mound with simple and repeatable mechanics. Commands the fastball to both sides topping out at 77 miles per hour. Feel for the curveball with depth and locates well with good potential. Also worked out as a first baseman. Clean glove actions with a deeper funnel. Softer but accurate carry to the bag. Righthanded hitter with a loose path to contact. Puts the barrel on the ball with consistency. Pull side to middle of the field approach. Added strength with improve jump off the barrel. Very good student as well.
