Noel Bustos is a 2018 C/ with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Sunnyside. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.18 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a balanced stance while receiving. Gains ground while working out of crouch with balanced, sound footwork. Works through exchange quickly and released from a compact arm slot. Throws generated downhill carry to the bag topping at 78 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.92. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and simple front side trigger. Created some shift into contact with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path to contact with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Present bat speed and strength through the zone with the ability to turn the barrel to contact aggressively. Ball jumped off the barrel well producing hard, loud contact with solid carry to the gaps. Named to the 2017 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
