2017 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Braden Massey is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Gulf Breeze, FL who attends Gulf Breeze High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, simple rock step moving into delivery with leg lift, lands closed with front foot and creates a cross-body release. Repeats well and able to generate plane to the lower third of strike zone with fastball from a long arm action and tight three-quarters release point. Creates angle and topped out at 86 mph, solid extension down the mound and gets drive from backside. Slows arm action slightly on release of curveball, shows 11-5 shape when on top with nice spin up to 71 mph. Varies looks and tempo on the mound to disrupt baserunner's timing well. Named to Fall National Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
