Boyd Biggs is a 2019 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Waterford, WI who attends Waterford. Large frame with broad shoulder and a solid build. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, clean footwork while traveling to and centering the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange well. Long arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced some carry across the infield at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and large leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct path to baseball with a line drive plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed with strength at contact. Ball jumps off the barrel well when squared producing loud contact with carry to the gaps. Also pitched showing a simple rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side and works to the plate with tall and fall actions. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Fastball created some running action with sink in the mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and good depth in the mid 60's. Consistently challenged hitter in the zone and flashed developing feel for each edge of the plate. Good student as well.
