Jake Hanson is a 2022 RHP/3B, SS with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Timpson, TX who attends Center. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, present physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, higher leg lift up above belt, gets tall on backside in gather with hip turn at top; hands stay close to body throughout delivery, strides on line down the mound. Compact arm action through the back with tight release from three-quarters release point, shows quickness to arm stroke and does a nice job of creating plane on fastball. Topped out at 84 mph, steady running life to heater and creates some angle working to glove side. Attacked with fastball early, can continue to incorporate additional lower half, flashed 11-5 shaped curveball up to 72 mph, occasionally gets around it at release. Good carry on throws across diamond with a low effort release, fields the ball out front, extra step moving into release, arm will play at third base. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; uncoils well moving into contact and able to create extension out front. Ball jumps off the barrel when squared, uphill swing path and looks to elevate, keeps hands inside the baseball, occasionally gets off balance with stride through lower half.
