Luke Thrutchley is a 2021 C/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Logos Prep. Medium frame with slender build, good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Hits from slightly spread stance with high back elbow, loads hands deep into bar, line drive swing plane with solid bat speed, pull-middle approach with barrel skills, will drive the ball more as he matures and gains strength. Worked out behind the plate, receives well and puts whole body into throws, full arm stroke that can get lengthy, clocked up to 73 mph on throws with flashes of accuracy. Also pitched, worked exclusively from the stretch, throws from high three quarters arm slot, fastball worked between 72-78 mph, showed whole complement of offspeed pitches with varying feel, demonstrated ability to work backwards and throw strikes. Very good student.
