Ryan Jacobs is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Harrisburg, PA who attends Susquehanna Township. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, present strength and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.66 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works with a short arm action through the back before getting to a low three-quarters release point. Lands with strike foot and works across body, creating angle at release as well as deception; fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly true in life. Remains tall at release, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release. Curveball shows sweeping life to finish at 67 mph from similar low slot and kept it low in the zone. Mixed both pitches and induced weak contact. Shows arm strength from the outfield with whip to arm action at release, sound footwork moving to and through the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow at the plate and utilizes a small toe tap trigger for timing at release. Keeps hands inside thorough swing, stays short to the ball with a full finish to swing; linear bat path at point of contact and shows strength coming of when squared up and on time. Very good student.
