Blake DeFillippo is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Brighton, MI who attends Detroit Catholic Central HS. Medium, athletic frame with compact build; body projects yet moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.57 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher; uptempo delivery compact arm stroke through the back to tight three quarters arm slot release, fastball worked 70-73 mph to both sides of the plate with good arm side life and occasional heaviness. Generates slight crossfire deception due to closed off front side with plant foot. Liked throwing his curveball, good vertical depth with command of the offering, threw it early and often to both sides of the plate. Did a good job of throwing strikes consistently with both pitches. Very good student.
