Grant Solomon is a 2021 3B/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Franklin, TN who attends Grace Christian Academy. Large frame with long limbs and lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary third baseman with sound footwork while rounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball from a slightly deeper position and worked through transfer quickly. Created some carry across the infield with accuracy topping at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouch, even stance and large leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Displayed developing feel for the barrel and looks to create contact out front and work the baseball to the middle of the field. Also pitched showing a high leg lift delivery. Stay tall and balanced on back side at gather. Used lower half well while driving to the plate with drop and drive actions. Medium arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball produced some downhill tilt through the zone with occasional run to arm side in the low to mid 70's, topped at 75 miles per hour. Curveball created 11/5 shape with good spin and steep depth in the low 60's. Consistently filled the strike zone while showing good feel and command of both offerings to the bottom quadrants of the zone.
