Oscar Kang is a 2022 C/ with a 5-4 150 lb. frame from Natick, MA who attends Natick. Thick build with present strength. Ran a 9.70 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Uses a side saddle stance with upright actions working from behind the plate. Uses a fuller arm action with higher transfers working into throws. Showed a uphill release with developing transfers and arm strength posting a 2.44 second pop time and topping out at 56 miles per hour from behind the plate. Right handed hitter. Employs a narrow slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger. Showed a high intent swing with a inside bat path creating inside out middle to opposite field contact. Displayed the ability to create bat speed and some solid line drives when on time and squared. Good student.
