2021 Midwest Top Prospect Games
Nehemiah Goodman is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Marion, IL who attends Marion. Recorded a 7.08 second sixty yard dash time. Extra-large frame with a strong and athletic build and plenty of room to fill, exciting physical projection moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher, long and offline arm action with deep plunge, closes himself a bit on the foot strike. Segmented operation overall, stays balanced and showed the ability to add and subtract from the fastball. Mixes locations well, filled up the zone with the fastball and showed developing command of his secondaries. He featured a changeup and a curveball that flashed short cut with limited depth as his off speed pitches. He ran his fastball up to 86 mph but there is much more in the tank with further development. There are still some mechanical issues to refine, but there is no denying his physical projection and upside on the mound. Secondary first baseman and right-handed hitter, utilizes a wide stance and a small lift and replace trigger. Deep and stiff hand set with limited weight shift in the operation, has the strength to really impact the ball. Upper body-dominant swing with developing consistency, has quick hands with definite strength present. Has big carry to the gaps when on time and squared, made loud contact during the games.
