Chase Jans is a 2021 OF/MIF with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley. Strong athletic build with lots of quick twitch athleticism. 6.53 in the sixty. Shows his athleticism well in the outfield, has good arm strength from a lower am slot, fields the ball cleanly out front. Didn't play the infield here but has frequently in the past and has more of an infielder's arm action at present. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a hanging leg lift load, upper body rotational swing, has strong and quick hands and can get the ball to jump but can use his lower half more to help create bat speed. High level athlete who will keep improving with repetitions. Verbal commitment to Kansas.
