Anthony Torreso is a 2022 C/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Stratford, CT who attends Salisbury. Recorded a 7.25 second sixty-yard dash time. Larger frame with athletic look and well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary catcher that receives from a low, slightly side-saddled stance with a deep mid-line transfer into a shorter arm action. Displays some quickness out of the crouch, gaining ground towards his target efficiently throughout. Showed present arm strength and carry on throws recorded up to 80 mph from behind the plate. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Calm, controlled approach with good separation at landing, long, fluid swing path and extension out in front. Whole field approach with good barrel skills and the ability to turn the barrel on the inner-half well. Showed emerging power potential to carry the gaps, swing translates well into game action and will continue to expand as he fully matures. Fundamentally sound defensive skill set with projectable swing and some power potential. Excellent Student. Named to the 2021 New England Indoor Top Prospect List.
