Jamison Fuentes is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Aspen, CO who attends Aspen. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary left handed pitcher with a simple side step delivery and medium leg lift. Stays balanced at gather and work so to the plate with slight front side swing. Lands at a slightly closed front side position at times creating some cross fire at release. Showed good command to the arm side edge of the plate with a fastball that sat in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Curveball had 1/7 shape with softer spin and some depth when located down in the zone. Showed good feel with the curveball offering as well with the ability to double up with offering and throw for strikes in negative counts. Consistently filled the zone and effectively stayed off barrel inducing weak contact. Also worked out defensively form the outfield showing smooth, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while smooth, efficient exchanges. Released from a three-quarters arm slot creating on line carry to the bag topping at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Loose path to baseball with a level plane through extension. Consistently produced ground ball, line drive contact to the middle of the field throughout batting practice.
