Jake Hunter is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Rockwell, NC who attends East Rowan. Large frame with broad, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.16 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, lower slot slinger arm stroke, stabs through back but stays inline, hides the ball very well, fastball worked 76-80 mph with lots of life from that tough slot, showed slider with good bite, mixed in changeup as well with good dive and flashed curveball. Hits from even-based stance with toe tap trigger, steep entry to hitting zone, torques hips well, showed ability to keep head on ball, contact skills are solid. Worked out at first base, showed ability to throw accurately from multiple arm slots, clocked up to 74 mph across the diamond. Excellent student.
