Jackson Denney is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Dunwoody, GA who attends Mount Vernon Presbyterian. Medium frame with a broad chest and strength in build. Ran a 7.39 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with deception in a crossfire delivery. Short and quick arm stroke in the back into a smooth release. Shows three pitches for strikes with the fastball showing heaviness through the zone topping out at 80 MPH. Mixes in a sharp slider as well as a changeup with sinking life through the zone. Also worked out as a secondary infielder. Fields out in front with a slightly deeper funnel. Shorter strides when moving to the baseball. Clean release with some carry to the bag at 80 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and rotational upper half into contact. Slightly lifted barrel plane through the zone. Elevates contact off the barrel with occasional jump to the pull side. Very good student as well.
